5 Gadgets You Should Have Lying Around Your Holiday Cottage
If you have your own holiday cottage you don’t want to keep too much things there. When you’re not around anything could happen to them and it’s not like the world is full of people who don’t steal. But that doesn’t mean it should be sitting empty, because it gets a little annoying when you have to pack everything in the car when you want to get away for the weekend.
You will already keep the basics there, but what about other special things that would come in handy? It’s always nice to keep at least a few gadgets there to make your trip enjoyable. I wouldn’t be too keen on keeping a brand new 42-inch LCD TV there if your home isn’t in a secure community, but there’s gadgets much cheaper than that and they will come in just as useful.
When you get away you want to try something a little different, which means maybe stepping out from the kitchen for a few days. If you have a BBQ grill at your cottage you can make some great barbequed food every night. Everyone knows a holiday and barbeque is the perfect combination. If there’s a few people at the cottage you can also spend the day outside having parties until it’s time to go home.
A coffee machine
You’ll not last long if you’re stuck drinking instant coffee while you are away on holiday. It’s going to be impossible to function every day without your lovely fresh caffeine. That’s why it’s pretty obvious you should keep a decent coffee machine at the cottage. It doesn’t need to be too expensive, but something semi-decent will always be appreciated.
A smoothie maker
When you’re not having barbeques and outdoor parties you might want to try and eat a little healthier. Smoothies at breakfast time are always a great idea. They fill you full of vitamins and taste great. If you’re looking to lose a few pounds you don’t want to be stuffing your face with cereal every morning. Just pop to the local market and grab some fresh fruit to throw in the smoothie machine.
iPod docking station
You don’t really need an expensive music system if you don’t spend a lot of time at your cottage. The easiest thing to do is have an iPod docking station lying around and you can just take your iPod with you whenever you go away for the weekend. The quality of sound is more than enough for what you’ll use it for, even if you do throw a few parties.
Igloo Glide Pro Cooler
You might need a fridge to store your food, but you want an Igloo Glide Pro Cooler so you can take it out into the garden and keep all your beers cool. If the weather is nice you’ll probably be spending a lot of time outside, otherwise why would you bother going away for the weekend? A cooler box will save you running to the fridge every few minutes.
