iphone 5 production Faxconn, apple’s main supplier is supposedly making 150,000 iPhone 5 units per day. This shows that 5-6 million iPhone 5 shipments are expected during September and next gen iPhone announcement in October

Digitimes reports:

“Suppliers in the iPhone 5 supply chain in Taiwan have geared up production recently with volume shipments of the new Apple smartphones to begin soon. Production of iPhone 5s at OEM maker Foxconn Electronics has reportedly reached 150,000 units per day, according to industry sources.

Shipments of iPhone 5 from the supply chain are expected to reach 5-6 million in September and top over 22 million units in the fourth quarter as suppliers will ship less iPhone 4 and CDMA-version iPhones during the final quarter of the year, noted the sources.”

Another report states that apple will sell more smartphones than any other company in 2011 and 86.4 million units are expected to ship by year end.

iPhone 5 production is on boom but iOS 5 is not yet installed on devices which means that Apple is working on Text-to-Speech and FaceTime on 3G capability for carrier testing. Onece it is finalized then it is installed on next iPhone 5.

This update regarding iPhone 5 shows that apple is gearing up production for upcoming release. As iPhone 4S rumors are also roaming on web, probably Apple will mold iPhone 4 and sell in cheaper price in coming time but let’s wait and see.
