If you’ve already gone for the new Evasion iOS7 jailbreak then surely you’ll be facing lots of ‘Failed to fetch’ errors and complains of server being overloaded that seem to fill out in the debug every time refresh is requested. This is something that can become a headache but now the solution is available.
Cydia app is popular for managing arbitrary repositories and installs packages through chosen repos. If any of the default repositories are facing problems of updating or are offline then errors can occur. Then that can derail the whole system from the jailbreak experience. The recent “Failed to Fetch HTTP/ 1.1 404 Not Found ” errors are getting over the functioning of newest jailbreak release and are caused by the Ultrasnow repository, but fortunately the fixing is now possible.
Step1: Launch Cydia from the bottom tab bar, select option of Manage.
Step2: From the list of options, select Sources. You will now be facing a list of Cydia then; list will be having BigBodd, ModyMyi,Cydia/Telesphoreo, Dev Team and ZodTTD & MacCiti. Step3: The root cause of problem is Dev Team’s repository that is the host of UltraSnow software unlock package, from the top right corner select the Edit option.
Step4: On the left hand side of the Dev Team repository, tap the delete icon, a new delete option will appear. On the right hand side, tap it to remove the repo.
Step5: Now refresh Cydia and you will Notice the errors removed from the log.
This removal of Ultrasonic repository shouldn’t be problematic for the device users. If anyone still has issues with this procedure they can easily add the repository, back to the list by simply going to Manage>Sources>Add and then entering http://repo666.ultrasnow.com in place of repository address.
Important thing to notice is that this particular error in Cydia is found in all repos, which are having connectivity issues or else are down. If all these kind of repos are deleted from the sources section, it will amend the problems.
