Internet explorer 9 first time imageThe official announcement plan for the next version of Internet Explorer 9, by Steven Sinofsky, president of the company’s Windows and Window live division was made at the conference. The new browser is in its early development phase still, and only under work for three or four weeks, but already in this phase,it is showing smoother rendering and improved performance.

But for this Internet Explorer 9, text and graphic rendering, you will be using graphic chip. Few examples where shown by Sinofsky, including one where Bing Maps got 14 FPS without hardware graphic acceleration, and when the feature was switched on its moved up to 60 FPS. DirectX’s Direct2D application programming interface is used in this technology to boost CSS, DHTML and JavaScript performance. Internet Explorer 9 will have new JavaScript engine into it, as well as HTML 5 and CSS3 for improved interoperability and standards support.

It could still be a while, but no estimates were given on the launch date, but if u see the release date of IE 8 which was just last march, so I think it will take time to come out.
