OSFaker, a genius jailbreak app which allows you to copy the Android and Windows Phone 7 OS on the iPhone. It replicates all of the Android and Windows Phone 7 OS on your iPhone with plenty of cool features.
Although OSFaker is not a complete OS simulator at all, but still you can feel some Android and Windows Phone 7 taste on your iPhone. Let’s see it more closely…
OSFaker has claimed that it “fully simulate” the Android 3.2 Gingerbread UI, but that’s not the case but certainly it’s true that OSFaker gives you a good taste of both Android and Windows Phone 7 and by no means it a full simulation.
OSFaker is a super fast and lightweight app, expected to be GPU and memory intensive but is quite quick in installation and response. It’s quite cool to jump in and out of the two available operating systems in OSFaker. Certainly it’s not to be one replacement for the iOS but it’s goo to show off to your friends.
Android in OS Faker
Windows Phone 7 in OS Faker
Both the simulations have some elements that are true to Android and Windows Phone 7 but it has some limitations. For example, using the browser in both simulations prompts iOS’s webkit browser.
Similarly iOS backend is used in both simulations, there are a lot of examples like trying to call, surfing web, sending a message, etc.
OSFaker is a free app at Cydia, so you should at least have a try at it. Even OSFaker has many limitations but still is a cool one for jailbreakers to enjoy. What do you think of it?
